Kathy's Lasagne

This is a great tasting lasagne and a family favorite.
Time: approx. 1 Hour 30 Minutes.

Recipe makes 1 - 9x13 inch dish (12 servings).

   

Meat Sauce
1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
3/4 c. onions, diced
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1 small & 1 lg. can tomato sauce
2 TBL parsley flakes
2 TBL sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp basil
1 (8 oz) pkg lasagne noodles
Cheese Mixture
2 (12 oz) cartons creamed cottage cheese
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1 TBL parsley flakes
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp oregano

3/4 lb mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Directions
1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2 Cook ground beef, onions & garlic powder. Drain off fat.
3 Add remaining meat sauce ingredients: tomato sauce, parsley, sugar, salt and basil.
4 Heat to boiling, stir occasionally. Reduce heat, simmer for 30 minutes or until thick.
5 While sause is simmering, Cook & drain lasagne as directed on package.
6 In separate bowl, mix together Cheese mixture: cottage cheese, parmesan, parsley, salt, oregano.
7 In ungreased 13 x 9 baking dish, layer 1/2 of all ingredients: noodles, , meat sauce, cheese mixture and mozzarella. Now layer the remaining half of ingredients, ending with some meat sauce and 1/2 cup parmesan cheese on top
8 Bake uncovered for 45 minutes.
For easier cutting let stand for 15 minutes. This dish is firmer and even better as a left over dish.
